In less than two years, the Doppelmayr Group built a gondola lift of superlatives in the Russian ski resort Laura, the venue for the 2014 Olympic biathlon and cross-country events. The Psekhako has set two world records: It is both the longest and the fastest tricable gondola in the world. With a speed of 8.5 m/s, the lift can carry up to 3,000 passengers an hour in each direction and provides an unrivalled ride experience. There is currently no other tricable gondola worldwide that can beat the length of the Psekhako at 5,386 meters.
