The new Ahornbahn in Mayrhofen in Tyrol’s Zillertal replaces a tram from 1968 and now ranks as the biggest reversible aerial tramway in Austria. It is equipped with 160-passenger cabins and is 3 kilometers long. The new tramway provides uphill transport for skiers using the adjacent trails and is also used as a feeder to the Ahorn region which acts as an attractive starting point for a wide range of mountain activities in both summer and winter.
