Following construction of the new avalanche blasting ropeway, it was possible to extend the former ski route into a wide, avalanche-free run. The drive station of the Gaisloch avalanche blasting ropeway is located at an altitude of 2400 m in the immediate vicinity of the Gaisloch detachable 6-seater chairlift which Doppelmayr built in 2005. The new ABR replaces the avalanche dam which protected the bottom station of the detachable 6-seater chairlift as well as the Goldsee-Hütte restaurant.
